Provenance : Earl of Mount Norris, presentation copy from the author (inscription inside upper cover). A PRESENTATION COPY OF THIS RARE WORK on St Vincent. Abbey records a contemporary propectus for distribution of the work in the island, which states 'only a few copies have been sent out for sale, but Mr Draper will receive at the Gazette Office the names of those who are disposed to encourage the Bookseller who printed it'. The meticulous account of the Botanic Garden, with charming lithographic views, is followed by an appendix, comprising letters from Dr Anderson to the Secretary of the Society of Arts, relating to plants cultivated in the garden, and a Catalogue of Plants.
