1. Leather over tin cartridge pouch outfitted with a brass seal showing a "{Crown}/{Sunburst}/{Medallion with motto "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" surrounding "VR"}". The motto belongs to the Royal Horse Guards famed for their achievements in the Napoleonic Wars. The "VR" insignia indicates Queen Victoria as the present ruler. Box is 6" wide, 3" high, and 1.5" deep. 2. Wood over metal cartridge box with medallion to flap showing "{Crown}/medallion" reading "ARMY MEDICAL DEPARTMENT" surrounding "VR". Item has brass fasteners to each end. 3. Leather pouch with flap showing the seal of the Royal Artillery consisting of a "{Crown}/scroll" reading "UBIQUE QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT with {Cannon}". Motto translates to "Everywhere where fate and glory lead." Item has brass loops and bars to connect to belt in addition to brass scrollwork mounts affixed to pouch. Condition: 1. Fair. Stitching connecting flap to box has broken. Flap shows overall abrasions and mars. Stitching to box is weak and shows signs of fraying. Some residue to both sides of box. Brass rings are tarnished.
