Scotland & Ireland 268 x 180mm.), engraved titles and numerous places, maps and illustrations in the text, some folding, most maps hand-coloured in outline. Uniform contemporary russia, sides with two double gilt fillet borders, flat spines gilt. Ownership inscription of E. Macgregor Murray, Lanrick Castle, 1808 in each volume and engraved armorial Macgregor bookplate. Handsome set of Grose's Antiquities in well preserved contemporary binding, with minimal spotting and offsetting, comprising: Antiquities of England and Wales, new edition , 8 volumes, n.d.; Antiquities of Scotland , 2 volumes, 1797-1791 and Antiquities of Ireland , 2 volumes, 1791-1795.
