TWO AUTOGRAPH LETTERS AND A PHOTOGRAPH SIGNED ("EDVARD GRIEG") 1) Good autograph letter to the publisher Heugel in Paris, in French, discussing in detail how he carelessly gave away the copyright of his early songs and piano works (including the Humoresker Op.6, the Lyric Pieces Op.12, the duets Op.14 and the Folkelivsbilleder Op.19), to the Danish publishers Horneman & Erslev, now owned by Hansen, and that the lack of reciprocal arrangements with Germany means he cannot now prevent unauthorized editions there, 3 pages (c.21 x 13.5cms), 8vo, Bergen, 26 April 1882, light browning ...J'ai été assez imprudent pour laisser toutes ces compositions comme proprieté pour toutes pays, sans en soupçonner les consequences. Pourtout comme il n'y a pas de convention littéraire entre le Danemarc et l'Allemagne mes compositions y ont été contrefaites d'une mesure considerable... 2) Postcard photograph signed and inscribed ("This has never been EdvardGrieg, London, 14 May [19]06"), to Miss Pankhurst in Bedford Square, 2 tiny holes 3) Autograph postcard signed (EdvardGrieg"), to the music dealer Warmuth in Kristiania (Oslo), in Norwegian, thanking him for some money which he had forgotten all about, 1 page, 9 x 14cms, autograph address panel, Bergen, 5 July 1887; together with letters by the composers Agathe Gröndahl (to Warmuth, postponing a concert and asking him to get the announcement changed) and Ole Bull 5 items in all
