Locle, No. 2265, circa 1890 With highly jewelled nickel finished lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, repeating with two hammers, glazed dust cover, gold cuvette, the silvered dial with Roman numerals, centred and surrounded by an applied gold floral and foliage decoration, subsidiary seconds, the heavy case with higly engraved and chased floral and foliage decorated front, reverse, band, pendant and bow, the front centred by engraved initials on a shield-shaped blank cartouche, repeating slide in the band, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed 51 mm. diam.
