Map of the County of Gloucester.., 1st edition, Ross-on-Wye, March 10th 1777, engraved map with contemporary wash colouring, sectionalised and laid on linen, large uncoloured allegorical cartouche, five inset vignettes of principal buildings and castles, compass rose and table of explanation, very slight dust soiling and very occasional staining, short splits along old folds and slight wear where old folds cross, 1355 x 1205 mm, contained in a contemporary marbled card slipcase with printed label to the upper cover, slipcase worn with crude tape repairs to the extremities, contained again inside a near contemporary red morocco 'envelope style' loose covers, worn at extremities (Quantity: 1) Scarce.
