Condition : rebacked, later endpapers. Provenance : Joseph Dunninger (1892-1975, bookplate) the “amazing dunninger’s” copy of this classic late 17th-century account of witches and witchcraft. Joseph Dunninger was the most famous magician/mentalist of his day. His radio shows in the thirties were very popular, to the extent that the results of a survey in the early 1940’s apparently proved that his voice was recognised by more people than the President’s. Glanvil’s work was first published 1681, but the present edition includes significant additions. Caillet 4562.
