[Giunta Press] BRACCIOLINI, Poggio Istoria [...]. Tradotta di latino in volgare da Iacopo suo figliuolo. Riveduta, e corretta nuovamente per M. Francesco Serdonati, con l'aiuto d'un testo latino a penna, che è nella libreria de' Medici. Florence, F. Giunti, 4to: [4]-258-[pp. (foxing, some ff. browned). Mod. three-quarter brown morocco, marbled paper on boards, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, red edges (spine sl. faded). Florentine history by the great Italian humanist Poggio (1380-1459), who rediscovered many classical Latin manuscripts among which the "De rerum natura" by Lucretius and "De architectura" by Vitruvius. Reprint of the translation from the Latin by the author's son, Jacopo, first published by Jacobus Rubeus in Venice in Ed. revised and corrected by the grammarian Fr. Serdonati (1540-1603?).
