A very fine and rare 18K pink gold hunter case keyless pocket chronometer Signed Girard-Perregaux, Chaux de Fonds, Chronometre Bascule, Bulletin d'Observatoire, Nos. 24813 and 80545, circa 1900 The Girard-Perregaux calibre nickel-finished jewelled movement with screwed gold chatons, pivoted detent escapement, blued steel spherical spring with diamond endstone, bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, glazed dust cover, the gold cuvette with engraved floral and scroll decoration, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, in heavy circular case with engine-turned decoration to in- and outside, the front centred by a blank shield-shaped cartouche surrounded by floral decoration, case signed and numbered, cuvette, dial and movement signed 59 mm. diam.
