The new Prime Minister, Henry Addington address the House of Commons on the subject of a peace treaty. Gillray has noticeably left Addington uncaricatured, whereas Hawkesbury, sitting behind him with his finger to his mouth is the epitome of ministerial uncertainty and incompetence and the caricature of Wilberforce (holding a stick) is particularly brutal.
