Beschreibung:

Generally considered to be the world's first GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun), the MG-34 was designed to provide the German military with a portable machine gun that could support infantry either in a light or medium machine gun role, be utilized in an anti-aircraft role, and even be used in static defenses such as bunkers. This example's receiver has been replaced by a solid aluminum dummy receiver. Barrel jacket is marked "dot/ 1945" above an Israeli 6-pointed star proof stamp and the serial number. Receiver cover's serial number has been crossed out, and new number was applied. Right side of buttstock is stamped with a later applied "cxb/ 44" above an eagle over "WaA706" waffenamt. CONDITION: Metal components show areas of wear and thinning all around, with some scattered dings and nicks from former use, as well as a few areas of surface oxidation. Rear of receiver cover shows scattered indentations. Buttstock bears a crack on the top, but otherwise appears sturdy and serviceable. Plastic grips show scattered marks from handling and storage. A nice MG-34 display machine gun, that was utilized by the Israeli Defense Force after World War II. MLW Item Dimensions: L: 48" Name Value Accessories Paperwork
