Pierre Alechinsky holt viel seiner Inspiration von der asiatischen Kunst, vor allem der Kalligraphie. Dieser Einfluss zieht sich durch etliche seiner Werke. Papier ist sein bevorzugtes Medium, wobei dieses des Öfteren nicht weiß und unbenutzt ist, sondern bereits Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren aufweist.

Pierre Alechinsky draws much of his inspiration from Asian art, especially calligraphy. This influence runs through many of his works. Paper is his preferred medium, though it is usually not white and unused but rather already marked with signs of age or former usage.

Good overall impression. Mounted under passepartout at the upper margin. Barely noticeable handling crease (approx. 5 mm) lower left. Verso on the cardboard remains of former mounting.
