Garrick (David).- A group of seven prints of Garrick in character, including Finlayson's 'Mr Garrick in the character of Sr John Brute' after Zoffany, 'Mr Garrick in the character of Kitely' after Reynolds, S.W. Reynold's 'Garrick in the character of Richard 3rd' after Nathaniel Dance, McArdell's 'Mr Garrick in Hamlet' after Wilson, Cook's 'Mr Garrick in the character of Richard the III' after Hogarth, 'Nature & Genius introducing Garrick to the Temple of Shakespeare' after John Hamilton Mortimer and a portrait of Garrick by Thomas Watson after Joshua Reynolds mezzotints, etchings, all on laid paper, several mounted onto paper support, various sizes, largest 420 x 550 mm. (16 1/2 x 21 3/4 in), some repairs to nicks and tears, some trimmed within the platemark, occasional spotting and browning, all unframed, [circa 1779-1825].
