2) Inscribed visiting card and two autograph envelopes, addressed to Giuseppe Auteri De Cristoforo
the visiting card (with printed name Giuseppe Verdi), c.5.4 x 9cm, inscribed "A Giuseppe Auteri de Cris[toforo]...i miei affettuosi saluti ed i miei sentiti ringraziamenti [...my affectionate greetings and heartfelt thanks]", no place or date; with two envelopes addressed to Auteri in Catania, one postmarked Genoa, 20 March 1890
Giuseppe Auteri De Cristoforo was a youthful Sicilian composer with whom Verdi had begun to correspond in 1885.
