He had been invited to stay with the poet Robert Frost in New Hampshire and they became friends. On his return from the USA, Rossiter began work on The Pendulum, which was published by Gollancz in 1966. Kathleen ‘Kay’ Johnston Morrison (1898-1989) was secretary-manager to the poet Robert Frost from 1938 until Frost's death in 1963.
