Similar to Lot 648. Purchased in Japan by the current owner, this NC35 was originally prepared there by ex-Honda works rider, Masahiro Iizuka before being taken to the USA. The machine boasts a number of rare and highly desirable competition modifications including 46mm Öhlins forks, 320mm Brembo front brakes, Dymag wheels and lightweight bodywork by Japanese specialists Magical Racing. Equipped with lights for endurance racing, this particular machine has road-specification (choked) carburettors enabling it to be more easily ridden on the public highway if its owner so desires. The machine is offered with race preparation notes and track data sheets (Willow Springs, dated 1998) and copy State of Colorado Certificate of Title. (It should be noted that although the latter records the machine as an NC35, the date of manufacture is incorrectly shown as 1985). Complete apart from a missing rear brake calliper, this machine represents an opportunity to acquire a potentially most competitive mount for club racing’s 400cc class.
