FREDERICK DE WIT (1630-1706) [Southeast Asia] Tabula Indiae Orientalis. [Amsterdam: c.1680]. Engraved map, hand-coloured in outline, by Johannes Lhulier, plate size: 455 x 562mm, title cartouche with four costumed figures (light offsetting, minor marginal repair). Window mount. De Wit's reissue of Lhulier's map first issued in 1662. Cf. Koeman III, Wit 3. [And] HUGO ALLARD the Younger (b.1673). Nova Tabula India Orientalis , [Amsterdam: c.1702]. Engraved map, hand-coloured in outline, plate size: 458 x 575mm, title and scale-bar cartouches incorporating cherubs, rose-compasses, galleons, and view below with an elephant, camel and native figures (short repaired marginal tear at upper margin).
