Beschreibung:

FRAZER, JAMES GEORGE ASL Sir James George Frazer (1 January 1854 - 7 May 1941), was a Scottish social anthropologist influential in the early stages of the modern studies of mythology and comparative religion. He is often considered one of the founding fathers of modern anthropology. Autograph letter signed, 1 p, St Keyne's, Cambridge, 19th March 1910, to 'Dear Mr Wright'. In full: " Thank you for your kind letter and for all the trouble you are taking in the matter of the Fison-Howitt article. I hope that spare copies may yet be forthcoming. If not, 25 copies reprinted would ample suffice, indeed more than suffice. But I am quite willing to pay for the reprint. Yours Sincerely J.G. Frazer". With uneven left edge, age toning and some minor foxing, otherwise in good condition. Lorimer Fison (9 November 1832 - 29 December 1907) was an Australian anthropologist, Methodist minister and journalist who did a great deal of worthwhile work in Australian anthropology together with another Australian anthropologist, explorer and naturalist Alfred William Howitt.
