Dezent gereinigt, nur vereinzelt kl. Fleckchen. Mittig geplatzte Bugfalte u. kl. Risse oder Löchlein restauriert; rundum angerändert, dabei an 3 Seiten die äußere Einfassungslinie bzw. unten die schmale Bordüre nachgezeichnet; Gesamtbl. angefasert u. verstärkt. Fine carte-à-figures by Visscher in its first state without date. The decorative borders include 8 costumed couples, 2 portraits and 3 armorial shields, and along top and bottom 12 views, for which the ones of Jodocus Hondius' 1617 map served as a model: Poitiers, Orleans, Paris, Rouen, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Calais, Beaumont, Angers, Bourges, Lyon and Tours . Only 2 further, unchanged ed. with dates 1633 and 1646 are known, and 2 in the fifties by his son, but with all borders replaced by new ones. - Uncol. , good impression. Decently cleaned, only minor spotting in places. Careful restorations to split, smaller tears and holes at centerfold; remargined with reinstatement of outer neatlines at 3 sides resp. the small ornamental border at bottom; sized and strengthened.
