Francis M. Trappes (1838-1886) and Basil Bradley (1842 -1904) Oil on canvas Signed with monogram and in full, respectively, and dated 1879, lower right 51 x 91.5 cm (20 x 36 in) Frances Trappes and Basil Bradley occassionally collaborated on such rural English idylls, the latter supplying the figures. This scene is very likely to be in Epping Forest, to where Trappes had moved, and was often the subject of his work, either alone or in collaboration with Bradley.
