Elmsly and G. Robinson, 1777. 2 volumes, 4° (285 x 225mm). Errata leaf at end of vol. I. One large folding engraved map. (Titles somewhat spotted, that of vol. I a little soiled, small neat repair at fold of map.) Contemporary half russia (rebacked). Provenance : The Dean and Chapter's Library, Norwich (shield on covers, armorial bookplate). FIRST EDITION of Forster's work, which appeared several months before the official account of Cook's second voyage. Mitchell 1247. (2)
