Foyle, Beeleigh Abbey (bookplate). A rare example of a book with each edge having a double fore-edge painting. The principal paintings on the fore-edge show the outskirts of a village with two figures by a bridge over a river and a windmill, the opposing painting a river scene with a fisherman on a boat and a church with a spire in the distant background. The top and bottom edges show more indistinct fore-edges of generic countryside.
