Williams," the title and first leaf of constitution with Bar Association stamp, foxing, a faint old dampstain to the lower margin at rear. First edition of the first constitution of Florida, present here with the proceedings of the convention that took place in December 1838 in the Panhandle town of St. Joseph. An extremely rare work in commerce, we trace only one copy of the constitution at auction in the 1967 Parke-Bernet auction of the Eberstadt stock ($375).
