FIVE ITEMS OF LONDON-DECORATED CHINESE PORCELAIN Qianlong, the decoration circa 1760 Comprising an oviform tea-caddy painted with a loose bouquet, scattered flower-sprays and butterflies, the foot applied with a band of scrolling tendrils (slight cracks to rim, part of tendril lacking), 4in. (10cm.) high; a flared petal-moulded coffee-cup similarly painted in a brighter palette (crack to top of handle), 2 3/4in. (7cm.) high; a coffee-cup and a saucer with exotic birds among shrubs and rockwork, the rims with traces of gilding (cup with slight rim chip, chips to footrim and star-crack to saucer); and a saucer painted with Oriental flowers, the border inscribed in iron-red THERE REMAINETH THEREFORE A REFT TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
