Cases contain one sixth plate ambrotype portrait of an identified young girl with accompanying note behind image identifying the subject, date (1861), and photographer, "R. Desmond" of Indiana [6-11a]; one sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young man with facial hair [6-12a-1]; one sixth plate tintype of a young man with curly hair [6-13a]; and one ninth plate portrait on milk glass featuring an identified gentleman with long sideburns, with date inscribed behind image [6-17a]. [6-12a] with no image. [6-11a], [6-12a], and [6-12a-1] classified as "Rare" in Berg. Provenance:Paul K.
