Fine French Belle Epoque Diamond Heart Locket 18k yellow gold, fourth quarter 19th century, the heart shape with a central oval-cut fancy light yellow old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.73 carats, approximate clarity VS2, surrounded by forty old mine-cut and rose-cut diamonds set into openwork venation, twenty-six rose-cut diamonds around the perimeter, and accented on the bail with three old mine-cut and three rose-cut diamonds, with an approximate total weight of 3.69 carats, approximate color E-F and clarity SI1-I1, the reverse fitted with a hinged open locket frame with beveled glass cover. h. 2" (including bail), w. 1-1/4", total weight 18.7 grams
