(Fine Arts : Photography) 1 Vol. (East Asian Travel Photograph Album, ca. 1922-1923.) Keast, W.R. Morton and Susette Inloes Schultz - travelers, photographers, compilers). Large 4to (12 x 9 1/2 inches; 304 x 240 mm), original patterned silk; rubbed and worn, binding broken, with the bookplate of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Keast on front pastedown. Holding approximately 330 silver print photos, hinge mounted on the rectos of 100 grey paper sheets, primarily of Japan and China, of these approximately 300 are 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch; 82 x 58 mm snapshots most likely executed by W.R. Morton Keast and approximately 30 are real photo postcards; approximately 100 of the photos depict Chinese subjects, of these 28 are real photo postcards, the rest are snapshots as above. Photos in near excellent states of preservation, many depicting cultural, ceremonial and quotidian life of China and Japan, as well as city, architectural, and monumental views. Susette Inloes Schultz Keast (1892-1932), prominent Philadelphia artist, member of the Philadelphia Ten. W.R. Morton Keast (1888-1973), prominate Philadelphia architect, chief designer for John T. Windrim - Franklin Institute, Family Court Building, etc.
