Fertiault (François) Histoire Anecdotique et Pittoresque de la Danse chez les Peuples Anciens et Modernes, heavily foxed, 1854 § [?Levi (Eliphas)] Paris Dansant out les filles d'Hérodiade, Folles Danseuses des Bals Publics, title-vignette, J.Breauté, 1845 § Mahalin (Paul) Au Bal Masqué, illustrations, some spotting, [1869] § Joyeux Dansomanes (Les), Recueil de rondes a Danser, half-title, hand-coloured woodcut frontispiece, original limp glazed yellow boards, old manuscript label, soiled, split to upper joint, Delarue, [c.1820], the first three first editions, half-titles, original printed or pictorial wrappers, uncut, rubbed, a little frayed at edges, upper wrapper of the second defective at lower corner just affecting imprint and spine reinforced, all Paris; and 5 others on dance, 8vo et infra (9) ⁂ The second and third items concern the demimonde dance halls of Paris, particularly during the polka mania.
