Small folio illuminated manuscript on parchment, with full-page hand-painted and colored coat of arms, elaborate half-page scrollwork compartment surrounding the royal seal on the first leaf of text, and four illuminated initials in colors, and two smaller two-line initials in gold with miniature embellishments, text in a fine hand, black, red, and gold ink, within red rules, signed by the Spanish King, with numerous other additions, annotations and other notes and signatures at the foot, and on the following five pages; sixteen parchment leaves, the first two interleaved with scarlet silk pages, bound in full contemporary red velvet, with marbled endleaves, binding intact, corners rubbed, lacking original green silk ties, 12 x 8 1/4 in.
