Beschreibung:

.38 RF caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel length, S/N 44824. Marked in an engraved banner on top of the barrel Remington address in two lines. Silver-plated finish, New York-style scroll engraving with stippled background. Original ivory grips. Original flap leather holster. Condition: This revolver is sharp and crisp overall with traces of the silver plating remaining. All markings are clear. Where the silver is gone the metal has grayish patina remaining. Original ivory grips showing a nice yellowed patina. The revolver needs some mechanical work, doesn't stay cocked, the mainspring is good, more than likely it is the cylinder stop and the hand spring. The bore is very good to excellent, still has a brightness in the bore. The original leather flap holster is very nice and complete with no open seams, missing the plug in the bottom, and also missing the brass stud. Some scuffing and crazing. Overall this is a great looking piece from the 1870's. Also is great looking rare factory engraved Remington conversion.
