Publ. white leather over wood by Burkhardt bookbinders, spine with raised bands. In a black leather box embellished with silver-plate mountings and gold embossing by the same after the design of Ernst Ammering. Commentary: half white leather, beige cloth on covers, slipcase. Prospectus: publ. portfolios. Magnificent and faithful colour re-creation of the original manuscript "MS preserved in the Library of Trinity College in Dublin. Faithful in also reproducing physically the wormholes in the manuscript. "This Fine Art Facsimile" volume was issued to copies + not for sale (n. 1116). The decoration of the box was inspired by the medieval Irish book-shrines and ornamental elements taken from the Book of Kells. With accompanying commentary in German by Anton von Euw and Peter Fox and 2 Prospectus vol. with examples of illustrations. Publication certificate joined.
