Title in Greek and Latin, text in Greek, woodcut basilisk device on title and 'Noli altum sapere' device on last page (title a trifle dustsoiled, inkstain on last page, lower margins of DD2&3 lightly waterstained). [ Bound with: ] Euangelicae praeparationis lib.XV , ibid., 1544. Title and text as above, woodcut basilisk device on title, with the final errata leaf. 2 works in one volume, 2° (318 x 205mm). Early 18th-century English panelled calf, gilt spine (rebacked, upper cover detached). EDITIONES PRINCIPES and the first two books to be printed in Garamond's grecs du roi , based on the handwriting of the Cretan calligrapher, Angelos Vergetius who worked for François Ier at Fontainebleau.
