Basle: Joannes Oporinus, March 1562. 2° (300 x 195mm.). With final blank. Woodcut printer's device on title. Late 17th-century English mottled calf, spine gilt, red morocco lettering piece (rubbed, joints worn, the upper cracked). Provenance : Anthony Grey, 11th Earl of Kent (bookplate); Thomas Philip, 2nd Earl de Grey (bookplate). Adams E1036; cf.Brunet II.1096. - ARISTOTLE. Philosophorum omnium longe principis nova editio. Text in Greek and Latin. Geneva: Petrus de La Rouiere, 1605. Two parts in one volume. 2° (365 x 228mm.). Title in red and black with woodcut printer's device (title with contemporary excision and repair to section of imprint, also repaired at inner margin, second part lacking ? section title, browned). Contemporary sheep gilt, covers panelled with central shield containing the initials C.P.B., g.e. (scuffed, torn at extremities). Provenance : C.P.B. (binding); Cl. Th. Dupuy, of Paris, 'Oratoris Regii' (ownership stamp); Thomas Catton (signature); C.J.Tindal (signature). - ARISTOPHANES. Comoediae undecim Graece et Latine. Edited and with Latin translation by Stephan Bergler. Leyden: Samuel & Johann Luchtmans, 1760. 2 volumes, large 4° (284 x 235mm.). Parallel greek and latin text, ruled in red throughout, titles printed in red and black with engraved vignettes. Contemporary red morocco gilt, g.e.
