2nd ed. (1st Basel 1581) of the Latin trsl. by Fr. Junius (1545-1602) of the obsessive treatise on witchcraft (1st French ed. 1580) by the French philosopher Jean Bodin (1530-1596). “Bodin écrit ce livre terrifiant, parce que terrifié” (Crahay p. 223). Woodcut mark on title. Old notes (on front flyleaf, in a number of margins). On title old ownership entry: " Collegi Malderj ", a Louvain University college founded 1633. Armorial bookpl.
