Interesting collection of 19 views of England (i.a. Gravesend, Greenwich Hospital, Chain Pier at Brighton, New Coal Exchange of London, Chelsea Hospital, Tower of London, View of the building for the Great Model of the Earth in Leicester Square, Somerset House London, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle...). The views are printed as so called "cartes porcelaine" in London, by J.T. Wood and by G. Casmore. Mainly produced in Belgium from 1830 to 1865, those cards were printed from a l ithography covered with white lead. They were taken out of production as soon as the extreem toxicity of the technique had been proved.
