James Earle Fraser (American, 1876-1953) was a significant artist in American history. "End of the Trail" is his most famous work, the original plaster was obtained by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and the original bronze replica resides in Waupun, Wisconsin. The bronze offered here is signed "J.E. Fraser," has a brown patina, and a more golden finish on the rider's skin. It is mounted on a green stone plinth with a simple plaque that reads "Fraser".
