An important edition of the Daily prayer book (siddur) with a valuable commentary including grammatical notes, ritual laws, and various treatises, in three parts, bound in two volumes, with different names as follows: Pelatin Bet-el.... Ammudei Shamayim. Altona: the Author Private Printing Press, 1744-1748. 418 leaves. [and:] Armon Ir ha-Elohim... Sha'arei Shamayim. Altona: the Author Private Printing Press, 1747. 159 leaves. [and:] Birat Migdal Oz... Birkhot Shamayim. Altona: the Author Private Printing Press, 1748. 1-380, 382-395 leaves. At the beginning of this part the author argues that the purpose of circumcision was to increase the pleasures of sexual intercourse. He later cancelled the pages containing this argument (leaves 2-3) and replaced them with new text. Our copy has the new text. (The cancelled text is very rare and appears only in a few copies).
