Bertheleti], 1541 [i.e. 1544 or 1547?]. 8 o (125 x 188 mm). Collation: A-M 8 N 6 (-N 7 - 8 ). 102 leaves (of 104), foliated. Black letter, shoulder notes in roman. Title within woodcut architectural border, woodcut arms on title verso and repeated on A8v. (Lacks colophon and final leaf, few wormholes repaired on final margins.) 18th-century mottled calf gilt, edges gilt (rebacked with original spine preserved by W. Pratt . Provenance : Simpson Rostron (bookplate); Hubert James Cecil Rostron (bookplate); John Reginal Marriott (bookplate); Edna and Frank Bradlow (bookplate). "A popular, sensible treatise on healthful living, with sound and practical advice on the recognition of the commoner symptoms of disease, as well as what to do about them" (Hunt).
