Laid in: a Boni & Liveright check, an oblong , dated New York, 1 March 1923, for $150.00 for "Royalty-Wasteland" made out to Eliot, but with his name misspelt "F.S. Eliot"; on the verso the poet has endorsed the check twice: "F.S. Eliot" and "T.S. Eliot" ( cancelled perforations across both signatures ).
