edited by Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi, 4 vol., engraved frontispiece and 210 plates and plans on 208 sheets, 34 double-page, vol.4 with errata leaf at end of Italian text, 1776-83; Le Terme dei Romani, edited by Scamozzi, engraved frontispiece and 25 plates and plans, 17 double-page, 1785, together 5 vol., both with text in Italian and French, dedications with engraved head-pieces, title of the second work a little browned and with occasional very light water-staining in the first work, mostly to vol.2, but generally bright and clean, uniform contemporary half vellum, gilt-stamped red paper labels (that on second work slightly chipped), uncut, a little rubbed and soiled, [Berlin Kat. 2722 & 1877; Fowler 231 & 234], folio (c.520 x 375mm.), Vicenza, Francesco Modena (5) *** An excellent tall copy with wide margins of the first Scamozzi edition of Palladio's works, complete with the work on the Roman baths which was based on Lord Burlington's edition on 1730 and is often bound as the fifth volume.
