One page, 8vo, in pencil on lined notebook page, small file-hole, circular receipt stamp of the Edison Storage Battery Co., Research Department. A typical hurried note from Edison during a period in which he was engaged in intensive reserach on storage batteries, some of which were used to power automobiles and the Edison-Beach electric-powered trolley car: "J. V. Miller has some Electrolytic Soda just received - Better get some of that -- The little cell has only traces of Ammonia but is very strong with Chloride of Sodium[.] How did it act with you[?]..."
