lot of 2, includes one Peter I (The Great) dated 1723, with added ring of silver ornamentation, likely done in the Caucasus and ring for hanging a pendant, 2.75" diameter, 1.25ozt.; AND an 18th century ruble from the reign of Anna 1730-40, with added edging in silver, obscuring date and ring for wearing as pendant, 1.75" diameter, 1.03ozt. Scott apparently acquired these medals from the Navaho while living in the southwest. Includes 3 letters dealing with the likelihood of their means of transport to the SW. Condition: As above, else VG.
