Lot of 8. Realphoto postcard of border fighters, one wearing bandolier of ammunition, another with ammunition belt. Possibly Mexican revolutionaries (1910-1920). During this period Pancho Villa staged a raid on Columbus, New Mexico triggering a punitive expedition by John Pershing with about 6,000 U.S. troops. Realphoto postcard of a man and woman on horseback in the "great open spaces." No indication of identification or location. 4 x 5 in. b-&-w photo with manuscript label on verso: Taken last Oct. at Adm. Miles "buffet" for NATO chaplains. Adm Miles, Carl & M[rs.] & Capt. Starrett Adams. Miles (1900-1961) began his naval career during WWI and served until retiring in 1958. Cdv of "Admiral Dot," ca 1877, with Anthony backmark. A performer for P.T. Barnum, the card indicates Dot was 25 in. high and 20 pounds. Cabinet card of Benjamin Harrison and his wife, Caroline, on either side of the Washington monument and just above the White House. A second card, 4 x 5.5 in., is in memory of James Garfield (1831-1881). Advertising card for "The Bulletin" (presume newspaper) has pictures of the Presidents from Washington to Wilson (1913-). With instructions for classified ads. 8 x 10 in. photo with in-image caption "Germany Surrenders, W.L. Drummond, 72 Wall Street." Nov. 1918.
