Chiselled flat lock decorated with classical motifs, flat swan neck cock engraved en-suite, rounded brass pan. Highly decorated brass furniture with engraved classical images, side plate with hunting motif of dogs attacking a bear, large brass escutcheon at wrist is not engraved. Relief carved stock with horn tip, wood ram rod retained by a thimble and entry pipe. Condition: Very good. Barrel with dark plum brown patina showing traces of blue at the breech flats. Good bore, lock mechanically functional. Brass with medium yellow patina suggesting an old cleaning, triggerguard tang cracked. Stock crisp with usual handling marks, small chip out at barrel line on obverse, forward of lock, minor cracks on reverse at forward pipe.
