Howard & Co Boston Movement: 15 jewels, #465, series I, size N, gilt finish, straight line lever escapement, monometallic three-arm steel balance, blued steel flat balance spring, engraved balance cock, engraved: Reed's Patent Nov. 24, 1857 / additionally signed: E. Howard & Co. Boston Case: gold hunter case by B & M.C, #465, covers with reeded edges, engine-turned band, hinged cuvette with engine-turned border and apertures for winding and setting 53mm Dia. 107 grams gross est: $2,000/4,000 Notes: One of Howard's rare examples of Series I.
