Rademaker. 4to (ca. 20,5 x 15,5 cm.), late 18th-cent. unif. mottled calf, gilt ribbed spine with 2 contrasting calf letterpieces, marbled edges. ¶ Tiele 892n. Bodel Nijenhuis 95. Haitsma Mulier/ Van der Lem 86c & 309c. Second edition of an attractive 18th-cent. Dutch topographical work by the Dutch lawyer Matthaeus Brouërius van Nidek (1677-1742) & the German historian Isaac Le Long (1683-1762) illustrated with engravings by the Dutch print-maker Abraham Rademaker (1677-1735). The first edition was published in 1727-1733. ¶ A few minor imperfections (top of spine of 1 vol. sl. chipped/ torn, bindings sl. rubbed/ worn along extremities, 4 preliminary leaves in vol. 4 with small brown stain in upper blank corner, occ. sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless an attractively bound set in very good condition.
