Folio, new half calf; title slightly soiled and with two small slits in blank gutter margin, very slight worming to extreme lower blank inner gutters early in the volume, blank fore-edge of n2 ragged, very slightly browned . FIRST EDITION, 22 double-page woodcut maps or town views, 16 smaller maps or town views, 24 woodcut illustrations including one double-page [of the Colosseum] and two portraits (one after Holbein's Erasmus) all after a variety of celebrated artists (Bernard Salomon and others), some copied from Balthazar Arnoullet and others from Sebastian Muenster.
