Beschreibung:

12 gauge, 31" barrels, no S/N. Browned finish, German silver mountings, checkered straight-grip walnut stock and smooth forend. Engraved back action percussion locks marked Spang & Wallace / Philadelphia, barrel rib engraved and highlighted with silver London, surrounded by foliate tendrils and Warranted fine Twist. Birmingham commercial proof marks under the barrel. German silver front sight bead with inlaid silver arrow through it. German silver receiver block, triggerguard and buttplate tang engraved with flowing foliate themes. Includes a German silver tipped wood ramrod. Spang & Wallace operated circa 1840s in Philadelphia. Condition: Good. Retains some traces of brown and Damascus patterning on the barrels, clear markings, some scattered oxidation. Mechanically functional, lightly rusted bores. Stock very good with crisp checkering and scattered bumps and dings.
