Donald Castell Kelley (American, b. 1928) Figures in the Landscape Signed "Donald C. Kelley" l.l., titled and dated "...08" l.c., signed, titled, and inscribed "...Boston" in pencil on the reverse. Mixed media on paper, 70 1/4 x 48 1/2 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Subtle rippling and wear to edges. N.B. Donald C. Kelley trained at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, from 1952 to 1957. During a two-year period abroad, he met fellow Museum School alum Cy Twombly in Mykonos, Greece. Kelley attended Yale School of Art and Architecture in 1960 where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He has had a number of one-man and group exhibits in New England, and several art residencies at the Wurlitzer Foundation and The MacDowell Colony.
