In 2017, an incredibly floral nose, jetting out of the glass at you - broom, hay and mayblossom. From the winemaker's point of view, this is 'the kind of year where you do not learn as much as others', due to the ideal conditions of 2002 - this can only benefit us! An element of pomegranates throughout, unusual for Chardonnay, and a very mineral, saline finish. A gloriously seductive and succulent Champagne and cracking Dom Ruinart. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
